Long Oil Life, Reduced Maintenance Costs
Shell Corena S3 R offers a long oil life, with a recommended oil change interval of up to 4,000 hours, even when operating at high discharge temperatures of up to 100°C (subject to manufacturer approval). In certain applications, this can be extended to 6,000 hours.
This lubricant helps to:
Inhibit the formation of varnish and deposits in vane air compressors.
Inhibit the formation of deposits on rotating components in screw compressors.
Prevent thermal degradation and deposit formation, keeping internal surfaces, including oil/air and oil/water separators, exceptionally clean.
The actual oil change interval depends on factors such as inlet air quality, operating cycle, and environment.
For humid and hot climates, such as those found in Asia and the Pacific region, a lower oil change interval of 4,000 hours is recommended (consult relevant OEM for guidance).
